Queen In Recovery - Reigniting The Inner Fire (Solar Plexus Balancing)

Rest, royalty, and solar plexus healing. The solar plexus chakra (Manipura) is all about personal power, confidence, identity, and energy, so when it’s imbalanced, you might feel burned out, insecure, overly controlling, or just off your game. So that's not a signal that it's time to keep going or keep doing more. It's a signal to rest, relax, and receive everything you've been working so hard for.
An overactive solar plexus chakra especially due to excessive creating, working, or striving can show up in physical, emotional, and energetic ways. This chakra governs personal power, will, ambition, and self-discipline. When it’s overstimulated from constantly pushing, performing, or producing, the energy can become imbalanced.
Here are some common signs of an overactive solar plexus caused by overwork or excessive creation:
Emotional and Mental Signs
- Perfectionism: Feeling like your work is never good enough; constant pressure to do more or be better.
- Control issues: Wanting to control outcomes, people, or environments; difficulty letting go or delegating.
- Irritability or impatience: Getting frustrated easily, especially when things slow down or don’t go as planned.
- Over-identification with productivity: Feeling like your worth is based solely on how much you accomplish.
- Hyper-competitiveness: Always needing to win or outperform others.
- Workaholism: Inability to rest; a compulsive drive to keep producing or performing.
Energetic Signs
- Burnout: Feeling drained, wired but tired, or energetically “fried.”
- Hyperactivity: Feeling like you can’t slow down mentally or physically.
- Restlessness: Difficulty being still or at peace; constant mental to-do lists.
Physical Symptoms (solar plexus is located around the stomach)
- Digestive issues: Bloating, stomach pain, acid reflux, or nausea.
- Tension in the core: Tightness in the upper abdomen or diaphragm area.
- Adrenal fatigue: Low energy from prolonged stress and cortisol overproduction.
- Appetite issues: Overeating to self-soothe or lack of appetite from stress.
Spiritually or Intuitively
- Disconnected from inner joy: You’re creating or working out of obligation or anxiety, not inspiration.
- Lack of spontaneity: Everything feels rigid or planned; no room for flow.
- Loss of purpose: Even with productivity, something feels missing or hollow.
How to Balance It:
If this resonates, here are a few gentle ways to rebalance the solar plexus chakra:
- Rest and play: Prioritize unstructured time. Do something joyful with no outcome attached.
- Practice surrender: Allow space for things to manifest and unfold rather than forcing them.
- Breath work: Deep belly breathing to calm and ground the solar plexus.
- Soothing activities: Yin yoga, meditation, time in nature, or calming baths.
- Affirmations: Try “I am enough even when I am still” or “I release the need to prove myself.”
- Nutrition: Grounding foods like oats, sweet potatoes, and ginger can help settle solar plexus energy.
Solar Plexus Rebalancing Ritual (15–20 mins)
What You’ll Need:
- A candle
- A warm beverage of your choice
- A journal and pen
Ritual Steps:
1. Create the Space
- Light the candle and prepare your beverage.
- Sit somewhere alone where you won’t be disturbed
- Play soft, grounding music if it helps you settle.
2. Connect with Your Body
- Place both hands over your solar plexus (upper abdomen).
- Take 5–10 deep belly breaths. Feel your hands rise and fall.
- Silently repeat: “I am safe to rest. I am worthy even in stillness.”
3. Release with Fire
- In your journal, write a short list of things you're ready to release. It could be the pressure to keep producing, the fear of not having enough or not being taken care of, the pressure to perform or prove yourself to others, the belief that you must earn your worth or look a certain way. Then if you feel comfortable, burn this list (safely) using the candle, or tear it up and flush it down the toilet as a symbol of letting it all go.
4. Call in Power
- Now, write down what you want to manifest and call into your life. It could be anything you want. More time to play and rest. Sleeping in without feeling guilty, more trust in your own intuition and guidance system, joyful, fun, easeful creation, more income without more work, peace, and exciting opportunities and connections that are aligned with your highest good. Read each intention aloud and place your hand over your solar plexus again as you say them.
5. Close
- Spend some relaxing time just being with yourself. Enjoy your beverage slowly. Breathe, then blow out the candle as a symbolic ending.

You can write these somewhere visible or repeat them throughout your day:
- I honour my energy and I create from joy, not pressure.
- It’s safe for me to rest and receive.
- My worth is not measured by my output.
Queen, rest is not your retreat, it is your revolution. In the quiet, you are not losing your light you are rekindling it. In stillness, you are not stepping down from your throne, you are melting away the armour that was never meant to be yours. The solar plexus, your sacred center of fire, may have flickered but it can never be extinguished. It waits patiently for your return and that's ultimate glow up.
So breathe. Rest. Be soft. Be fierce. Be both. Because a Queen in recovery is still a Queen, and when her fire returns? She doesn’t just shine. She blazes.
