Why am I still not happy?

happiness inner peace spiritual health and wellness Jul 31, 2026

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself...

"Why am I still not happy?"

On the outside, everything looks fine.

You have the career.

The family.

The home.

The vehicles.

The accomplishments.

The closet full of clothes… Some of them with the tags still on.

The body.

Yet deep down, something still feels missing.

You keep working harder, trying harder, hoping the next achievement, relationship, or breakthrough will finally bring the peace you've been searching for.

And it does... for a little while.

Then the feeling returns.

The same self-doubt.

The same emotional weight.

The same patterns that keep you stuck in the past and disconnected from the life you truly want.

You weren't meant to live this way.

The problem with many high achievers and high performers is that they’ve learned fighting as part of their trauma and survival response.

They’re told to honour the struggle, as if to say that success can’t come easy and naturally to them.

That nothing good ever comes for free and that they must earn everything.

Including love.

So naturally, they think fighting will help them achieve results, or that pushing their way through will work.

But it often backfires.

It backfires with injuries, depression, anxiety attacks, digestion issues, low back problems, infertility, eating disorders, addictions, cancer, hormonal issues, a heart attack, failed relationships, financial crises, and then they’re left wondering, what the actual fuck did I do wrong?

And I will tell you...

They try to get up earlier.

Add in more reps.

Stay up a little later.

Learn ways to increase productivity.

Optimize their morning routines.

Add in more supplements.

Start going to church.

Learn another framework.

Add in an ice bath.

Read another self-help book.

Attend another retreat.

Fast, restrict, sacrifice, and deprive a little more.

Listen to another podcast.

Get another credential, certification or degree.

Invest in more courses and coaches.

Be the hardest worker in the room.

Do all the "right" things as if to say that’s what’s actually going to create the result.

But that method is actually backwards because the one usually running the show isn’t a healed or whole adult, but rather someone who is in pain.

…A wounded inner child who is in some desperate need of love and attention.

…Someone who never felt good enough and who is wanting to be seen.

We all eventually learn that no amount of hard work can ever a fix a soul that’s disconnected from true love and purpose.

And hard work and struggle don’t automatically mean success.

Simply because there is often an underlying energy of anger, rage, control, hyper-vigilance, pain, rejection, grief, personal neglect, hate, trauma, fear, lack, scarcity, insecurity, competitiveness, greed, and defensiveness, and that’s never going to produce any real form of inner peace or lasting success.

When actions are rooted in the wrong intention, most people just accept that hard work and struggle are what are required of them because that’s what they were used to growing up.

A stressful and chaotic environment full of fighting and struggle.

And that’s actually really sad.

When you begin focusing on your spiritual wellness, life becomes easier.

Struggle becomes unnecessary.

Pain no longer exists in your body.

Relationships become stronger and more authentic.

Dreams manifest easily and effortlessly.

And proving your worth to people who never had the ability to see it in the first place... fucking pointless.

When you know who you are, real long-term success is a spiritual thing.

It’s an energy thing.

It’s an alignment thing.

It’s an identity thing.

It’s a resting thing.

It’s a receiving thing.

It’s a "thank you, God," while you go and live your life HAPPILY ever after kinda thing.

The hardest part of any transformation is focusing all of your time and energy on creating the new life instead of fighting the old one.

It’s letting your old life completely fall apart to make room for what’s next.

And usually what comes next is way better except so many people like to cling, hoard and hold onto things that have served their purpose.

This is always a game of letting go, trust, surrender, endurance, resilience, perseverance, belief, and usually for many they quit right before the really good part because it’s not happening fast enough.

So they either self-sabotage themselves or move onto the next quick fix and waste even more time and more money on things that don’t actually work.

The world in what you see right now is actually from your past thoughts, beliefs and choices

The cause is always your own level of consciousness and awareness and the effect is your life.

That’s a mindset thing.

So if you want to build a new life you can’t keep repeating the same thoughts, actions or beliefs.

You have to take your eyes away from what you see right now and live only by faith and your spirit.

For many they look in the mirror or look around and don’t like the reflection or the results they have produced.

And that can be a very difficult pill to swallow but taking full ownership and responsibility over your life is the only way to success.

You don’t change the mirror.

You don’t blame or complain.

You don’t make excuses.

You don’t say it’s too hard.

You have to change the person standing in front of the mirror first before any real change can occur.

You have to recreate a new person and that can be really difficult to do when you’re trying on your own or you keep thinking negative thoughts and doing the same things over and over again expecting a different result.

However it’s not difficult to do when you have someone helping you and you know exactly what to do.

The greatest cost you'll ever pay isn't financial.

It's losing years of your life disconnected from your intuition and your true self.

It's the regret you feel after missing out on your kids lives, constantly chasing the next big achievement, the next relationship, the next goal believing it will finally make you feel whole and happy.

But no matter what you gain, that emptiness follows you because it's not asking for more... it's asking for alignment.

As a spiritual medium, I've learned that inner peace isn't something the universe hands you.

It's what happens when you heal what's within, trust your soul's guidance, and transform the beliefs keeping you stuck. The life you're searching for begins the moment you come home to yourself.

Your life can begin to change the moment you choose yourself and say yes to your own transformation.

You can have the money.

The success.

The cars.

The big home.

The bangin' body.

The relationship... and still go to bed feeling empty on the inside.

Or you can build a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside.
